Ursäkta att jag inte har skrivit på ett väldigt långt tag, har helt enkelt inte blivit av. Det har ju hänt en hel del sedan sist.
- Debra Zane har blivit utvald som Casting Director för filmen.
- Releasedatumet är satt: 23 Mars 2012
- Det har bestämts att The Hunger Games ska börja spelas in i April, i North Carolina(USA)

- Auditions för rollen som Katniss har startat och varit igång ett tag.
Det är öppna för både kända och okända skådespelare och man även skicka brev med foto osv. De öppnar alla brev som skíckas men har inte så speciellt stora förväntningar. Klicka här för mer information.
Update: Angående när inspelningarna ska börja har Lionsgate själva inte officielt uppgett någon information, men nu går det rykten om att den ska spelas in mellan Maj och Augusti i North Carolina(USA)

Nu har 'The Hunger Games' regissör : Gary Ross!
Gary Ross är nu officiellt förklarad som regissör till Hungerspelen! Så här stod det på Variety:
Gary Ross' deal to direct Lionsgate's adaptation of Suzanne Collins' young adult tome "The Hunger Games" is all but done, with the director showing up at the company's AFM splash to plug the high-profile project.
Ross, whose helming credits include "Seabiscuit" and "Pleasantville," joined producer Nina Jacobson in discussing their vision for the event pic, one of the most buzzed-about titles at AFM.Jacobson is producing through her Color Force banner, which secured the rights to produce the movie and set it up with Lionsgate last year.
Lionsgate's international sales arm, headed by Helen Kim, is selling foreign rights. Buyers are showing keen interest, with territory deals already starting to close.
Collins is penning the adapted screenplay. Scribe Billy Ray has been polishing.
The first in Collins' trilogy, "The Hunger Games" takes place in a society in which districts pay tribute in the form of a teenage boy and girl who are forced to fight to the death on live TV.Second tome, "Catching Fire," was published last year. The final book in the trilogy, "Mockingjay," came out earlier this year.
Among his other credits, Ross also performed a rewrite on "Spider-Man 4" for Columbia.

Ross, whose helming credits include "Seabiscuit" and "Pleasantville," has been among the names mentioned in connection with the project for several weeks.
Project has been one of the most buzzed-about titles since the American Film Market launched Wednesday.
Liosngate acquired the feature rights last year and set the project up with Nina Jacobson, who was also at the presentation. Jacobson is producing through her Color Force banner, with Collins penning the adapted screenplay. Billy Ray has been polishing the script.
